Meet our elders! The role of an elder is to shepherd the family of believers and equip the saints for works of ministry so that the body of Christ might be built up. We are elder-led and church-supported. For more on our view of biblical eldership, please read Titus 1, 1 Timothy 3 and 1 Peter 5. At Fellowship, elders are commissioned to embody the way of Christ, to lead, to teach and to shepherd the church family.
Thomas and his wife, Sandra, have been married for 53 years. They have four children and five grandchildren. Thomas and Sandra met at an early age (their mother's were friends). Thomas graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and his wife is an Occupational Therapist. Thomas and Sandra have been involved in ministry since 1975. Thomas' ministry includes outreach ministries, evangelism, teaching, church planting, and pastoring. Sandra has served in children’s ministry, co-teaching, and evangelism. They enjoy family gatherings, camping, white water rafting, reading, and hiking. Thomas and Sandra recently relocated to Rocky Mount from Dallas, TX at the invitation of their eldest son, which enabled them to join in planting Fellowship Rocky Mount.
